Hello and welcome to my corner!

I’ve always loved reading. Growing up, I read everything I could lay my hands on and when it came to books, I did not discriminate as I read every genre. I got into a lot of trouble for reading all the time; in school where I’d read books during classes, if I could get away with it, and at home where I neglected to do some chores because I was trying to finish one book or another. A lot of cooking got burnt whilst I was reading and once, my mother banned me from reading!

I started reading Nigerian books again recently and after a long time of reading foreign books, it was a welcome change to be able to connect with the stories and the characters. I read a lot of fiction and the occasional nonfiction. I turn my nose up at fantasy and science fiction because whilst I want to escape reality when I read, I still want the books to be “realistic.” I use the word realistic a lot, so any time you see the word realistic in our reviews, just know that it is from me.

Just so you know, one other thing I loooooove is music though I’m stuck in the 80s and 90s. Lastly, I love watching lawn tennis.
